Kayaking & Canoeing
Is there a better way to see the hills and wildlife surrounding Ardtornish and Morvern than from a canoe on the tidal waters of Loch Aline?
Explore the ever changing tidal environment of Loch Aline for a half-day family adventure and see different views of Ardtornish and Morvern. Discover natural treasures on the rocky shores of Loch Aline and see otters and common seals closer than you would from the shore.
You will be under the experienced and qualified eyes of one of our guides from the moment they meet you outside the estate office. They will bring high quality safety equipment, including jackets and trousers if necessary, for you to use; all you need is your own clothing to keep you warm and comfortable, shoes that will get wet and a drink of water.
If a half-day journey on Loch Aline in search of otters and seals, pausing on a secluded beach to brew some coffee and searching for natural treasures isn’t enough, Otter Adventures also offers full-day journeys and adventures on Loch Sunart, or further afield. These could see you launching from Strontian and heading through the Laudale Narrows, and on to Ardery and Salen (weather dependent).
Whilst we cannot promise to find otters, common seals or any of the ‘big’ wildlife that lives here, we will return you safely to shore with a feeling of achievement and discovery that comes from being immersed in the landscape and making a wilderness canoe journey under your own power.
