Lochaline Stores & Post Office is open daily all year round.
Monday – Saturday: 8.30am – 6pm
Sunday: 11.30am – 2pm

They stock a fantastic range of groceries, household goods, alcohol, and newspapers. They are the location for the village’s 24hr fuel pumps, e-charger and they also operate a launderette.

They even offer the convenience of a delivery service, so you can relax in the knowledge that your groceries are taken care of before your holiday starts.

The post office facility is open Monday-Friday and Saturday morning for all post office services including cash withdrawals.

Lochaline Pontoons

Lochaline pontoons offer short stay facilities with up to 32 berths. There is 24 hour access to the harbour building and power and water available on the pontoon which is included in the rates.

The pontoons also offer emergency repairs and have showers, toilets and laundry facilities for use at an extra charge.

Lochaline Hub

The community owned Hub opened in 2021 and has space for conferences and meetings, upon request. If you wish to make use of the community hub space the prices, inclusive of Wifi, can be found below.

Highland Basecamp

If you are looking for an adventurous way to spend the afternoon, you will find Highland Basecamp situated in the centre of Lochaline. The basecamp rent out Kayaks and Stand-up-Paddleboards for use in the local area. To make a booking email by clicking the link below.

The Wishing Stone

Local folklore tells that wishes were said to be granted at the Wishing Stone if you filled your mouth with water from the local spring and passed through the stone three times without touching the sides or swallowing the water. The Wishing Stone is situated approximately 5 miles from Lochaline Village down the Drimnin road.

The Carved Stone Of Kiel

A collection of nineteen medieval carved gravestone slabs.

Park by Kiel Church and head towards the small stone building (Old Session House) at the far side of the church. Free entry.

Nc’Nean Distillery

If you’re up for an adventure, take a trip to Drimnin and visit them. The distillery is open to visitors once a day during the working week: take a look behind the scenes as they create their future whisky, taste the evolving spirit and try a cocktail in their bar.
