How are we making Ardtornish accessible to everyone?

Here at Ardtornish we strive to make the estate accessible for everyone to enjoy. Our development programme is in place to ensure universal access to as much of the estate and facilities as possible. Please read our accessibility statement below and do get in touch if you have any questions.

Victorian Apartment Access

Our Garden Flat in Ardtornish House has been fully adapted to allow access for guests with mobility difficulties. It’s on the ground floor, all on one level, and there are no steps to negotiate. The bathroom in the apartment has been re-configured to provide an accessible shower.

Cottage Access

Rose Cottage, Keepers Cottage and Castle Cottage are suitable for guests with limited mobility. The nature of the buildings mean that the corridors would be too narrow to navigate in a wheelchair. Both of these cottages have ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms with accessible showers.

Gift Shop and Farm Shop Access

Our Farm Shop is accessible for those with mobility difficulties, however the shop area would be difficult to navigate in a wheelchair. We do have a ramp that can be put in place for those wanting to browse the Gift Shop.

Ardtornish Gardens

The Garden has pathways suitable for use in a wheelchair and there are benches and seats around the grounds at viewpoint areas.

Hearing and Guide Dogs

We are happy to welcome hearing and guide dogs in Apartments and Cottages that welcome pets.
