At this time of year, our immune systems can always benefit from a wee boost! Having survived the recent frosts, our baby beets from the Ardtornish Kitchen Garden are full of detoxifying minerals and can help to give us just that. This recipe is also a great way to use up any frozen leftovers from the Autumn Berry harvest . A delicious, superfood smoothie with a fabulous magenta hue.

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 80g Ardtornish Raw baby beetroots, peeled and chopped

  • 200ml Fresh Apple Juice

  • 120g Frozen Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries (or a mixture)

  • 1/2 Ripe Banana

  • Shredded Garden Mint for garnish

Method

Add all of the ingredients, except the Garden Mint, to a blender or food processor and blitz until thick and creamy.
Pour into cold glasses. top with some shredded Garden Mint for extra zest and enjoy the benefits!
